Hello,

On Windows 11 the USB connectivity to the device is not stable, causing the dfu-util to fail. It is like every appr. 60 sec the device manager refreshes and the device is re-discovered.

The usbpid is installed, in order to make the usb dfu available in wsl2. It works fine, until the device reconnects. Then the attachment is lost.

I tried to disable all usb power control in Windows, it did not fix it.

How to fix this? Thanks,

Hi Lars,

The ROM in DFU boot mode has a timer which expires in about 60 seconds if the secondary bootloader is not transferred before the timer expires.

There is no control to disable or extend the timer timeout threshold. The secondary bootloader should be transferred within 60 seconds to avoid the the DFU device disconnect/reconnect on the USB host.

But on Linux there is no such issue - it appears consistent, and the usb connection is not interrupted every 60 sec.?

Hi Lars,

In the Linux PC dmesg log, you should see the DFU device is re-enumerated again and again in about every 60 seconds.
