Hi,

We are working in vxWorks with TI AM62x to make the changes w.r.t the errata:

2.3.1.3. PLL Programing Sequence Update To Avoid PLL Instability
(software-dl.ti.com/.../Release_Specific_Migration_Guide.html

This errata talks about the below changes:

- TIFS firmware
- DM R5 firmware
- R5 SPL (u-boot repo)

TIFS & DM R5 firmware mentions about updating EthFW.

Hence, kindly guide us on:
- The firmware that would be required for the upgrade.
- The steps/procedure to flash the firmware.
- The test steps/procedure to validate the upgraded firmware and the device.

Regarding R5 SPL(u-boot) - Will latest u-boot in SDK 10 have all the required changes?

Currently we are at SDK 08.04.01.03 version and would want the above specific errata upgrade.
Our understanding is the above errata changes will still work in previous SDK version older than 8.06.

Yes.

For this errata change, do you plan to still use SDK8.4 U-Boot, or migrate to SDK8.6 U-Boot, or migrate to SDK10.0 U-Boot?

Hi Pramod,

Migrating to SDK10.0 U-Boot will be the least-effort option.

You just need to port the SDK10.0 U-Boot to your custom board, along with the ATF/OPTEE and SYSFW binaries provided in the SDK10.0 release.

tisdk-default-image-am62xx-evm.rootfs.wic.xz SD card Image available at PROCESSOR-SDK-LINUX-AM62X Software development kit (SDK) | TI.com will include all the required prebuild binaries along with ATF/OPTEE and SYSFW. Is that correct?

Hi Pramod,

This wic image file is for running it on the EVM, and really doesn't have the individual component binaries for development.

Instead, please download the SDK installer https://dr-download.ti.com/software-development/software-development-kit-sdk/MD-PvdSyIiioq/10.00.07.04/ti-processor-sdk-linux-am62xx-evm-10.00.07.04-Linux-x86-Install.bin from the SDK link you referred, and run it to install the SDK on your Linux PC.

Then all the prebuilt binaries are under directory - <SDK>/board-support/prebuilt-images/am62xx-evm/.
