DRA821U-Q1: SD card boot for Gateway-demo

For J7200 CUSTOMER board, sdk: ti-processor-sdk-rtos-j7200-evm-10_00_00_03

We tried to use the SD card to boot the Gateway demo(MCU2_1), but the program seemed to not start,

About the SD card booting, We use K3ImageGen.sh to generate can_eth_gateway_app_freertos_mcu2_1_release.appimage, and copy it to boot partition of SD card and rename lateapp1

But it is not work and the SBL is stuck in load image

Could you please help ?

Thanks for your reply, but it is not help for me.

I want to use multicore app to load mcu2_0 and mcu2_1 appimage with SBL, and I use command like bellow:

cd <SDK_INSTALL_PATH>/pdk_j7200_10_00_00_27/packages/ti/boot/sbl/tools/scripts

./K3ImageGen.sh 11 gateway-demos/binary/can_eth_gateway_app_freertos/bin/j7200/can_eth_gateway_app_freertos_mcu2_1_release.xer5f

cd packages/ti/boot/sbl/tools/

mono out2rprc/bin/out2rprc.exe app_remoteswitchcfg_server.xer5f test.rprc

cd sbl/tools/multicoreImageGen/bin

./MulticoreImageGen LE 55 all.appimage 10 test.rprc 11 can_eth_gateway_app_freertos_mcu2_1_release.rprc

copy the finally all.appimage as lateapp1 to boot partition of SD card, but it is not work

What is the problem?

Hi,

Please refer to below for creation of multi-core app image using SBL.
https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors-group/processors/f/processors-forum/1210640/faq-tda4vm-run-vision_apps-in-sbl-boot-flow-with-combined_appimage

You need to combined all cores app images to single app image. From above FAQ, you can use MCU2_0 and MCU2_1 images as ETHFW and ETHFW Client gate way image.

TI side, we have tested Gate way app on MCU2_1 using CCS debugger, and viewed the logs in CCS as default UART prints are not enabled in Gate way demo app running on MCU2_1.
