SK-AM64B: Use Sysconfig from MOTOR-CONTROL-SDK-AM243X

Part Number: SK-AM64B
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG

Tool/software:

Working towards a Sigma-Delta input application on the SK-AM64B, I would like to use the SDFM example from the AM243X Motor Control SDK.

The AM243x is largely the same as the AM64x, but without the application cores. However, I cannot find a way to either:

  1. Get an example project from the MOTOR-CONTROL-SDK-AM243x to target the AM64x, or
  2. Get the Sysconfig of an example project from the MCU+ SDK AM64x to offer the "TI Motor Control Protocol" tab. This tab is present in Sysconfig-based projects of the AM243X Motor Control SDK, as pictured here:

I'm using:

  • CCS v12.8
  • MCU-PLUS-SDK-AM64x v09.02.01
  • SYSCONFIG v1.21
  • MOTOR-CONTROL-SDK-AM243X v09.02.00
  • Windows 11

If i cannot get the "TI Motor Control Protocols" view into the Sysconfig of an MCU+ AM64X project, can you advise specifically how to port the example code over?

Thanks!
Tim

  • Hi Tim

Motor Control SDK is only supported and verified for AM24 family. There are currently no plans to offer support for AM64. You could leverage AM24 SDK to build your system as the underlying components are the same, but we will not be able to provide additional support around this.
