Hello everyone,I would like to seek your advice regarding a quality issue that has arisen after the installation of the AM3356BZCZD60 component. We have identified several types of quality issues, which we initially suspect are related to the AM3356 component.

Situation 1: After the chip is installed on the circuit board, the board short-circuits. However, when the chip is removed from the board , circuit board works fine. This issue has a high occurrence rate.

Situation 2: The board short-circuits when both the AM3356BZCZD60 and SN74LVC1G07DBVR components are soldered on it. In some cases, replacing the AM3356 resolves the issue, while in others, both the AM3356 and SN74LVC1G07DBVR need to be replaced to pass the test.

Situation 3: Partial replacement of SN74LVC1G07DBVR has passed the test, but sometimes it is not the problem of SN74LVC1G07DBVR, and AM3356 needs to be replaced before it can pass the test.

Could you please provide some professional suggestions on how we can investigate the root cause ourselves? Additionally, could you offer some insights into the possible causes of these issues? Thank you very much!

I need you to add additional information

Is this a new design ?

If not are you seeing the issues in this specific batch.

Are all the devices that are showing issues from the same batch.

If this is a new design, is this the first batch you are building.

Hi Cassie Liu,

you have stated the AM3356 devices which are showing an issue are all part of same batch. Please provide the additional label information from packaging which they were in. Or also a picture of the top of device as it will have LTC on the package symbolization. How were these devices obtained? Was it from authorized TI distributor or direct shipment from TI order placement?
