Hello,
What version of Linux are you using? Are you using the TI Linux SDK, or something else?
I am not able to find any of the error codes that showed up in your grep
~/ti-processor-sdk-linux-am62pxx-evm-10.00.07.04/board-support/ti-linux-kernel-6.6.32+git-ti$ grep -r 'stl init failed' ~/ti-processor-sdk-linux-am62pxx-evm-10.00.07.04/board-support/ti-linux-kernel-6.6.32+git-ti$ grep -r 'dw_i2c_stl_init' ~/ti-processor-sdk-linux-am62pxx-evm-10.00.07.04/board-support/ti-linux-kernel-6.6.32+git-ti$ grep -r 'i2c-stl' ~/ti-processor-sdk-linux-am62pxx-evm-10.00.07.04/board-support/ti-linux-kernel-6.6.32+git-ti$

Hello,
file drivers/i2c/busses/i2c-designware-stl.c does not exist in the TI Linux SDK 9.x or 10.x:
https://git.ti.com/cgit/ti-linux-kernel/ti-linux-kernel/tree/drivers/i2c/busses?h=ti-linux-6.1.y-cicd
https://git.ti.com/cgit/ti-linux-kernel/ti-linux-kernel/tree/drivers/i2c/busses?h=ti-linux-6.6.y-cicd
I am sorry, we cannot answer questions about non-TI software on the TI forums.
Regards,
Nick
