CCSTUDIO: Reset happens when connecting core

You should not be connecting MIPI_JTAG_NRST to the AWR reset pin with XDS560. If you want to reset from JTAG you need to connect pin 6 (MIPI_NRST) to the AWR NRESET pin.

The connection to AWR NRESET pin will cause a hard reset of the device. This should not be toggled every time you connect to the core, it will only be toggled when you tell the emulator to do a system reset. 

The problem you are describing sounds like a configuration setting on the emulator and not a hardware issue. There should be some way to disable the auto reset of the core in the emulator. However, since this is not a TI part we cannot help with adjusting the emulator settings. I would suggest checking the emulator documentation and see if there is some way to disable this auto reset of the core when connecting.

You are correct, CCS has a feature that can be configured to perform a Reset at Connect. This is a simple automation of the CCS run-> Reset command.

This is not the same as Reset through XDS. 

XDS should not Reset the CPU, this is not normatl behavior because as the customer mentions, it is important to load the symbols to be able to debug the code

First one needs to Disable "Reset after Connect" 

Then after Connecting, Open CCS_Debug View and perform Run-> Reset
