Tool/software:

We have a J7200-EVM-board with a DRA821 CPU and a Quadport-Ethernet.

When using the ethernet-firmware from PROCESSOR-SDK-RTOS-J7200, version 10.01.00.04 on the quadport-ethernet we are not able to ping the board from a laptop or vice versa. We assigned a static IPv4 to the board.

What should we do to establish a proper ethernet-connection?

We tried all four sockets at the quadport, thus the entire trace looks as follows:

    Hi,

    Above log indicates no Link capabilities found b/w local and remote (peer) device.

    Can you please check LAN cable using is working or not?

    Also, make sure remote side network interface is not down/disabled.

    Hi,

    we did a ping-test via the MCU ENET-port using the same Laptop and it worked.

    We also used the base-image from the 10.00.07.03-Linux-SDK for further tests. And with it, ping-tests to one of the quadport-sockets (the one allocated to PHY16) yielded a response via the Linux-interfaces eth1 and eth2.

    We also tried it with the same cables that we used before and it looks like they indeed work correctly.

    I could see latest TI delivered SDK version is 10.01.08.01 (https://www.ti.com/tool/download/PROCESSOR-SDK-LINUX-J7200)


    I have tested at my end using above SDK, CPSW5G is working as expected.
