Hello,

I have two TMDS64EVM board.

First: It has a I2C(solomon,ssd1306) screen on in which is not active in default kernel ready to use image. Im hoping that will be added with other missing features in future releases because those images are for this board.

Second: v11.00.09.04 SDK do not includes QT6-qmake in it but device has QT6 libraries in it. How can i add it or how can i create a toolchain from Yocto for it ?

Hi,

I am reviewing #1 with internal team and for #2, we don't support Qt on AM64x as there is no GPU or Display controller on the device.

Then why SDK v10.01.10.04 has QT5-qmake and device has QT5 libraries in it ?

Also, i made a classic widget application and it works on that I2C screen.

Hi,

Our Yocto recipes are common across all of our platforms and hence the reason why Qt/Weston and other GPU layers get packaged as part of our SDK.

I am not sure I follow your question because AM62x has GPU and it has support for Qt libraries.

Krunal - TI marketing did not want Qt support in AM64x in the first place - Qt would be supported only on AM62x ; please consult with the Sitara marketing manager (that is their original slide) - I do not believe marketing wants Qt supported in the TI AM64x MCU+ SDK in the first place (contrary to what Mustafa is requesting)

I'm talking about Linux SDK not MCU+ SDK.

I do not need GPU because i do not need 2D/3D accelerate. Drawing over processor to framebuffer is enough for me with using single fullscreen QWidgets. That also allows me to not using any window manager like X11/Wayland/Weston which is used in default image.

That is the main reason I have asked for QT/qmake will be included in next releases or not.

Note: If you want to use QT's QML or such thing, you have to activate a window manager which supports EGLFS or OpenGL.
