TMS320DM8168: Is TMS320DM8168CCYG Processor needs to software?

Dear TI Team,

We have an electronic board and TMS320DM8168 processor was mounted. And now it does not work. if we buy a new TMS320DM8168CCYG, is this processor need software?

I mean will it work smoothly or this processor needs to additional software?
