AM62A7: About (CFAL + WDR ) color issue

Tool/software:

Hi TI Experts,

I had some issues with the CFAL + WDR plugin

After clicking the button to update the current plugin file

the screen became more purple.

    Hi Meng,

    The IMX219 is a linear sensor, not a WDR sensor. Generating CFAI with WDR for linear sensor would give wrong color.

    In practical applications, when there are strong light sources in the scene,
    such as direct sunlight, car headlights, or bright lighting in indoor environments,
    the captured images often suffer from over - exposure, loss of detail in bright areas, and poor overall visual quality. 
    I would like to know how to solve this problem

    Hello Meng,

    For those applications, a WDR sensor will definitely help. You will also need to have a robust auto-exposure and auto-white-balance (2A) algorithm. TI's 2A algorithm is a sample one which can get you started, but you'll need to improve it to work in those environments.

    Once you have a WDR sensor and a robust 2A algorithm, you can tune the ISP to produce good quality images for any lighting condition.
