  • Hi,I want to know if you have got the CCSV5_ADT_dependencies,if you got it, can you send one copy  to me.I would preish it and thank you so much.

    My Email: wjjontheway@163.com

  • Junjie;

What do you mean? does procedure from previous link doesn't work to install Android ADT in CCSv5?

    Can you explain your issue?

  • I'm so sorry that I reply  you too late.

My AM3359 device is BeagleBone. Two days ago,I followed with the“TI-Android-CCSv5SetupGuide - Texas Instruments Embedded Processors Wiki.htm” to install and

configuration my CCSV5 with Android development. But in the "CCSv5 Setup" chapter:

Below steps describe the procedure to install and setup CCSv5

    • Copy CCSv5 installer from "TI Android DevKit>->Debug_and_Development_Tools->TI_Code_Composer_Studio" on SD card) to Host machine
      $> cp setup_CCS_5.0.2.00006.tar.gz <new folder example: DEVKIT_ROOT>

    • Copy "CCSV5_ADT_dependencies" (from CD) to <DEVKIT_ROOT>, these are required to enable Android Debug Tools with CCSv5
      $> cp -a CCSV5_ADT_dependencies <DEVKIT_ROOT>

    • Go to CCSv5 folder and do the following
      $> cd <DEVKIT_ROOT_CCSv5>
      $> tar -xzvf setup_CCS_5.0.2.00006.tar.gz
      $> sudo ./setup_CCS_5.0.2.00006.bin

I don't have the file of"CCSV5_ADT_dependencies",so I can not enable Android Debug Tools with CCSV5. Now I have installed eclipse with ADT and ADB

development environment and installed a simple "Helloworld" to the BeagleBone device. But I still want to feel  the function when using CCSV5 with ADT to develop this

    device.

So I wonder where I can get this file and whether the eclipse with ADT and ADB environment can also replace the CCSV5 with ADT environment.

  • Sorry, I didn't faced this issue when I installed CCSv5 and ADT. I going to investigate it a little more.

But mean time if someone else knows the answer this post will be keep open, and can I suggest to post this question in Code Composer Forum?

  • OK. Of course you can post it in Code Compser Forum.

And I will try to use CCSV5 and ADT building the development environment again.Thank you so much.

  • I just reminded that I saw a windows during the installation procedure that asked me about this dependencies, but it found the way to cancel it or install later and then CCS was installed, then following instruction from shared link installed Android SDK.

  • Thank you for your reply. I got it.

  • Hi ,

In reference to "I just reminded that I saw a windows during the installation procedure that asked me about this dependencies, but it found the way to cancel it or install later and then CCS was installed, then following instruction from shared link installed Android SDK."

Please resend the post, as it leads me to a "Message Group Not Found" error message

    Thanks in advance,

    Reshmi

  • The link in Post was a mistake, maybe I moved/dragged the post button inside the post text and that caused the Post text.

By following the link number 788817 and considering it to be in this same forum, the correct link should be next one, and it is this same post.

    http://e2e.ti.com/support/embedded/android/f/509/p/197149/788817.aspx

The information to follow from this post was in the link

    http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/TI-Android-GingerBread-2.3.4-DevKit-2.1_DeveloperGuide#Using_TI.27s_Code_Composer_Studio_V5_.28Eclipse_based.29

the error that was happening was that when installing CCSv5 it shows a window with some options to install CCSV5_ADT_dependencies, the procedure was to cancel this window to install it at this time and continue the CCSv5 installation, one time finished it was time to continue the instructions to install Android SDK.

Remember to check the Proxy values for both Eclipse and Android SDK, they are different locations.

  • Hi,

I also want to known where can I get 'CCSV5_ADT_dependencies'. I am blocked at here ,when I want to setup CCS-5 environment.

    Is there any suggestion?

  • I haven't check this for recent version of CCS5, but this was the procedure, could you provide more information about the error you are seeing? or what versions of SW are you using?

    1. When installing CCS5 you are asked to install ADT

    2. Download Eclipse ADT plugin from next links, these links are not accessible from the developers.android.com for the "Setting Up the ADT Bundle", I needed to search for "Eclipse ADT" to find it. Download the Archive.zip file it is easy to install than configuring the proxy if needed.

    http://developer.android.com/sdk/installing/installing-adt.html

    http://developer.android.com/tools/sdk/eclipse-adt.html

    3. Install the Eclipse ADT as indicated in previous posts, it should be the same steps from this point.

Depending on the Android version you are using it is possible to compile the Eclipse ADT from the Android FS if required, but this steps are apart from the previous procedure.
