C5515 eZDSP USB Stick Development Tool CC Connectors

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1125

Hi all,

I need to know if TMDX5515EZDSP Chipcon Connectors are compatible with CC1125.

Thank you

  • Hi,

CC1125EM schematics and layout are available here: http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/swrr097/swrr097.zip

C5515 eZdsp schematics and layout are available here: http://support.spectrumdigital.com/boards/usbstk5515

All of the power, ground, SPI signals, and the RESET signal are compatible, but there is a slight issue with the CC1125EM GPIO3 pin. See the RF header comparison below.

To have SPI signals present on the P1 header, the C5515 pin multiplexing must be in PPMODE 1 or 6 (See Table 4-7. LCD Controller, SPI, UART, I2S2, I2S3, and GP[31:27, 20:18] Pin Multiplexing in C5515 datasheet)

GP[29] is available from the LCD_D[13]/UART_CTS/GP[29]/I2S3_FS pin only when PPMODE = 2...

So the signal present on the CC1125EM GPIO3 will actually be UART_CTS (PPMODE 1) or I2S3_FS (PPMODE 6).

I'm not sure what the GPIO3 signal is used for, and you should double check it... but I get the feeling that the CC1125EM will work fine.

    Hope this helps,
    Mark
