The DM8148 Sep 2012 datasheet is missing cycle time for McASP

Table 8-76. Timing Requirements for McASP(1)

NO. McASP[5:2,0] Only McASP1 Only UNIT

3 tc(ACLKRX) Cycle time, MCA[x]_ACLKR/X ACLKx, AFSX and AXR are all inputs – 12.5 ns

We’re using ACLKx, AFSX and AXR as inputs, so how fast can the McASP run?

I received the answer through internal communications and so will share that here.

McASP[5:2,0] is always limited to 20ns / 50 MHz. McASP1 is an exception where if you’re running with everything as input, you can run at 80 MHz.
