Hi,

I am following the TVP5158 EVM User's guide and under section 7.2.1 it says to "Unzip the UBL_DM646x_NAND_675_324.zip archive file onto the PC's local hard drive."

I can not find this .zip file anywhere?? Any help or a link would be great!

Mark,

Are you using DM6446 EVM? If so, UBL is the bootloader for DM6446 and you'll be able to download this package from DM6446 DVSDK which is available for download.

No unfortunately, I am using the DM6467T EVM.

You can still find UBL for DM6467 as well. Perhaps you might be already having the code with you.

What exactly are you try with TVP5158? What is your exact application? I can help if you can share exact requirements.

First of I am an Intern, so a little vague on everything. Currently I am just trying to get through the User's guide step 7.2.

I believe that we wish to write an application (which I believe will be through I2C (still have no idea how to program that)) that will recieve an analog; we will send that analog to the TVP5158; and the TVP5158 will return the digital input to the DM6467t.

I think that is what we are aiming for currently.

I recieved this from my mentor:

"Our requirement is to capture analog video using the tvp5158 and then use the dm6467t to encode input from the tvp5158 to mjpeg using the jpegenc codec."

Mark,

This can be done by using DM6467 EVM.

You can download the Linux SDK package and follow the instructions to flash it to the board.

I think there are already demo applications available which demonstrates this use case. You'll just have to use the application directly.

We already have the DM6467t; for the second link you gave, is it under these two:

1.) flash-utils-dm646x.tar.gz

2.) board-utils-dm646x.tar.gz

If so do I follow this guide to flash the board:

That all being said, I do not see the ubl for the clock settings that are described on the TVP5158 User's Guide. Also I already put the dvsdk3 on the DM6467t following the DM6467t Getting Started Guide.

Mark,

The UBL that the 5158 EVM guide has referred to is for DM6446. I think you can ignore that as the TVP5158 pixel clock is not reallydependent on that.
