AM1707 USB OHCI host controller

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM1707

Hello,

I want to connect the USB numerical keypad (HID device) to AM1707 USB OHCI.
Some keypads can connect correctly, however some keypads can't.

When the USB numerical keypad's cable is connected to AM1707 USB OHCI, the keypad can be recognized as USB device and linux can recognize the keypad as the input device.
However, after the button of the keypad is pushed, the logical connection is cut, then the keypad is recognized as USB device again.
The keypad input is not recognized by AM1707.
Other devices (e.g. USB memory device) are recognized correctly.
Only USB numerical keypad (HID device) isn't recognized.

What factors are considered to cause the issue?
Should I modify the USB host controller driver?
(The driver in Linux SDK-AM1707 released from TI is used)

Best Regards.

Also, please share both working and non-working keypad product details.

  • Hello Titus-san,

    Thank you for your reply.
    However, the problem is closed.

The problem is occurred in not only TI SDK's driver but also standard linux's driver.
Thus, I told my customer to consult the keypads maker whether there is a driver for linux.

    Best Regards,
