I am in the process of designing a circuit board with the TMS320DM6467T processor. The main purpose of this board is video processing as well as sending data over Ethernet communications. We prefer to use a 27 MHz crystal. What performance losses will I have if I operate at the lower frequency instead of the recommended 33MHz (27MHz is the lowest operable frequency)? Do I simply lose some processing speed or will this potentially impact my Ethernet communications?
