I put the Linux SD card in the correct slot , powered it up and I get the following message on the serial port

Since I can't get as far as u-boot I'm sort of stuck as far as being able to access anything on the board.
I've been through many posts about this problem, but so far I have not seen an solutions to this issue.
Like I said, the board was like this out of the box. Are there any options for getting the EEPROM values loaded ?
