Is it easy to port C55x Connected Audio Framework to C6747?

Hi Champs,

I'm planning to implement USB Audio Class 1.0 on C6747.
So, I'd like to know if it is easy to port C55x Connected Audio Framework to C6747 or not.

I'm not familiar with it and I can not estimate it.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Hello,

I would recommend www.ti.com/.../starterware-dsparm as a starting point. You can study the C55 Connected Audio Framework, and then port one of the existing USB examples from the OMAP-L138 starterware together with one of the codec examples, modifying the USB descriptors, etc for audio class.
That said, there are some difficulties to be expected - the ASRC library in the C55 Connected Audio Framework contains hand-optimized assembly for C55x and there may be incompatibilities between C55x DSP/BIOS and C674x SYS/BIOS. Porting this software fully would not be trivial.
