Joseph,
I checked into the JEDEC specs and identified eMMC v4.5 is compatible with the DRA62x boot up operation (3.0V SDR backward compatible timing) . Noted that DRA62x is spec'd with earlier eMMC devices, so please review TRM Chapter 4.7.4 ROM Code Memory and Peripheral Booting -- MMC/SD Cards, for the proper register settings and file system the eMMC device should have for ROM to access successfully.
Thanks & Regards,
Shiou Mei
dear shiou mei
thank you very much。
so you mean that DRA628 can support eMMC v4.51 boot up ?
Hi Joseph,
Yes, I think DRA62x device can boot from eMMC v4.51. These versions should be backward compatible. You should identify the additional features that come with v4.51 (compared with v4.3) and keep in mind that you can not use these.
Note also that DRA62x MMC linux driver is based on v4.0
