Starterware/am3358: how to test usb_dev_serial.c on am335x starter kit ?

HI TI,

I am working on starterware example usb_dev_serial.c . CCS7 compiles / builds / programs successfully, and am335x starter kit displays a GUI showing "HOST CONNECTED" and RX/TX counters / buffers.

However, no matter what I had tried, The test just stuck there, and am335x starter kit received no single data.

I am wondering whether TI expert may suggest a way to run and demonstrate the functionality of this program. Do I need special app on PC side (either Ubuntu or Windows may help) to send data through USB to am335x starter kit?

Please help to solve the problem, thanks in advance.

Please see e2e.ti.com/.../628801 since support for Starterware has been deprecated.

Having said that, there are some USB examples in the Processor SDK RTOS package located at C:\ti\pdk_am335x_1_0_8\packages\MyExampleProjects.

Please see this thread https://e2e.ti.com/support/embedded/starterware/f/790/t/630423 where I had mentioned where to get the SDK, etc.

Thank you for the reply.

I figured that out by myself. Simultaneously connecting both ttyUSB1 and ttyACM0, everything asserts into ttyUSB1 will echo back and display on ttyACM0, while am335x starter kit shows increasing Rx number counts.
