TMS320C6748: The power-on sequence of TMS320C6748

The power-on sequence of TMS320C6748 is mentioned as below in the datasheet.

But the VCC_1V3D, 1V8_LDO and 1V2_LDO power on first and simultaneously in the C6748 LC DEV KIT REV A7E. Does the power-on sequence of LCDK meet the requirement of Datasheet. Would the designers copy the LCDK or develope the design as the Datasheet strictly.

Hi,

I haven't checked the LCDK's PMIC OTP. In general the board should comply with the power-up sequence described in the datasheet.

If there are differences between LCDK and Datasheet, ALWAYS follow the datasheet recommendations. It is possible that the revision of the reference board was created before all info was available for the device and it is possible that it has mistakes, so follow the datasheet recommendations!

Hi Yordan,

Could the LCDK designer answer my question. The LCDK is the only one reference of my design from TI officially, so i'd better to make sure that the LCDK is right.

As I said you must follow the datasheet recommendations and fully comply with the power-up sequence.
