AM3715CUSD100 is in full production and currently there are no plans for obsoleting it.

Do we have a newer/lower cost recommended device?
Need:LCD 24RGB,AUDIO codec,Camera interface,>1GHZ

eli,
AM437x runs @ 1GHz and has parallel camera interface, display interface and it is Cortex A9 better performance than A8. Other option is AM570x family, CSI interface, 1GHz but A15 rather than A9. You can compare 1K price in the web.

eli,
you will need to migrate to Processor SDK www.ti.com/.../processor-sw.html
and it should not be complicated. AM3715 runs on Linux Kernel 2.6.7 while AM437x and most recent processors runs on 4.14.40
