TMS320DM6467T: contradictory descriptions for the functionality of DM646x's EMIFA interface

Hi all ~

i get a question about the functionality of the EMIFA interface in DM6467t.

in datasheet of DM6467t, i found the following description:

however, in the TMS320DM646x DMSoC Asynchronous External Memory Interface (i.e., SPRUEQ7C), i found something quite puzzling:

the two pieces of descriptions above seems in conflict with each other

could anyone clarify my doubt ？

Hi Nan,

As datasheet is usually with higher priority and is more up-to-date (Jun-2012) than UG (Feb-2010), datasheet should be the correct source. UG is more generic, while datasheet is very specific for TMS320DM6467T device.

Please see if the following description/discussion from OMAPL137 helps clarify the DQM functionality:

Note also that EMIFA "byte enable" feature is NOT applicable for NAND devices.
