DM3725: connecting LPDDR on PCB feasibility

Part Number: DM3725
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DM3730, OMAP3530

Hi everybody ,

DM3725CBP  you have LPDDR interface on TOP of the package but exactly same pins on the bottom .   Now if I want to connect  LPDDR in the PCB  ( so using  bottom pins )  (  no  LPDDR mounted on top in this case ) :   can I do this ?

in datasheet I can see fro the bottom pins "No Connect" but is this true if no POP memory mounted ?

thank you

regards

Carlo

For the CBP package these pins are only pinned out to the top.  You would need to migrate to the CUS package in order to have these pins accessible from the bottom.

They're not connected at all.  Back on the OMAP3530 the SDRC was pinned out to both the top and the bottom.  One of the changes moving to the DM3730 was that the SDRC was pinned out only to the top in the CBP and CBC packages.
