Hi,

 I am Working in Telecom Field. Have anyone describe what is difference between C5502 and C5409A?

In Telecom products, i found C5409A was used in Primary Rate Interface (PRI)card. In C5502 also have 3-McBsp channel, why they dont use C5502 instead of C5409A.

Can i use C5502 in PRI card(Interface with FALC56)?

any other major difference???

    Hi Muneeswaran,

    I'm not familiar with the exact PRI card which you mean but I'll try to give you some advise.
    If you want to directly replace TMS320VC5409A with TMS320VC5502 it should not be possible because both DSPs are not pin to pin compatible.
    Of course if you design a new board you can use TMS320VC5502 because it has 3 McBSP ports.
    Also TMS320VC5502 has higher performance.
