I want to interface a camera having CameraLink interface with Sitara AM5728 processor. Kindly help me how should I do that?

1) Do I need to use some special interface IC? If yes, kindly tell me its part number. Also tell me which pins of the Sitara processor will be used for this purpose?

2) Can I connect the CameraLink interface with Video Input Port of the Sitara Processor? If yes, please tell me how to do it?

Hi,

Direct connection is not possible. You will need a deserializer on the AM572x side, and then you can connct the parallel signal to either VIN1A or VIN2A ports (see section 9 in the AM572x TRM Rev. K and 4.4.1 in the AM572x Datasheet SR2.0 Rev. E).

I want to interface two cameras at the input and output of Sitara AM5728 processor. Kindly tell me about the appropriate interface ICs part numbers?

1) Camera Link Interface - (deserializer/serializer)

2) PAL Camera - Video Decoder/Endoder ICs part number
