Hello,

i am going to purchase TMS320C6678 DEVELOPMENT BOARD.

i have selected TMDXEVM6678LXE  version of EVM.

Can i get XSD560V2 emulator with this development board or i have to purchase it separately ?

Is there any change in design( PCB files and GERBER data) files between TMDSEVM6678L and TMDXEVM6678LXE ?

    Hi,

    There shouldn't be any difference between the boards in regards to pcb files.

    TMDXEVM6678 boards should come with on board emulators. The difference between L, LE & LXE boards is described here:

    TMDSEVM6678L - TMS320C6678 Lite Evaluation Module

        The TMDSEVM6678L EVM comes with XDS100 onboard emulation capability. In addition, an external emulator via JTAG emulation header can be also be used.

    I have already go through this details. As you mentioned Board TMDSEVM6678LXE that comes with on board xds560v2 emulator right ?

    But TMDSEVM6678LXE is not showing on ti.com.

    The part available on ti.com is TMDX(  as per my search on ti e2e TMDX stands for parts that is not fully verified by ti internal QC). so how can i buy Fully verified EVM board ?

    Also one another EVM available on ti.com is TMDSEVM6678LE which does not have encryption feature and price of above mentioned both are same.

    I have watch video"Introducing the TMS320C6678 Lite Evaluation Module for C66x Processors" on link  http://www.ti.com/tool/TMDSEVM6678.

    In this video it is shown that XDS560V2 emulator placed on top of DSP development board. So my question is that  XDS560V2 comes as separate PCB with TMDSEVM6678LE/LXE  or both are included in single PCB ???

    Yes, the board should come with an onboard mezzanine card (XDS560v2 emulator).

    As for the LXE version of the board, the link to the board says:
       "NOTE: This is ONLY available by contacting your local sales representative. This product is not available through any other channel."

    In this video it is shown that XDS560V2 emulator placed on top of DSP development board. So my question is that  XDS560V2 comes as separate PCB with TMDSEVM6678LE/LXE  or both are included in single PCB ???

    You can use either the onboard mezzanine card or external emulator. See the description from the board manufacturer:

    When contacting the local sales representative for the LXE version of the board you could ask the same question to be absolutely sure it comes with onboard xds560v2 emulator.
