Dear, Sir

I would like to inquire about PLLREF(CLKIN2, Required Frequency 20 ~ 26.6MHz) of TMS320DM648 products.

I would like to know what would happen if the frequency exceeded 26.6MHz and applied 27MHz.

This case, i would like to ask what happens in relation to image processing or how it affects other functions.

Hi Jeonghan,

If you are using CLKIN2/PLLREF frequency out of spec (i.e. 27MHz), I expect that PLL2 controller will not behave properly and this will impact DDR2 operation.

Thank you for your answer.

I ask if not working properly means that there is a red dot on the image or that the image may stop. In such a case, it would be important to know whether the problem occurs only functionally or physically.

I can not answer in such details. When you operate DM64x device out of spec, its behaviour is unpredictable.
