TMDSEMU560V2STM-U: USB Problem and request replacement

Part Number: TMDSEMU560V2STM-U

For debugging, connect the device to the USB port of the computer and the device manager should recognize the TMDSEMU560V2STM-U.
The problem is that Device Manager does not recognize TMDSEM560V2STM-U.
This means that the USB port of the TMDSEMU560V2STM-U purchased is considered to be a problem.

You need to use Code Composer to debug, but there is a problem at the previous stage of debugging.

  • Hello Benson,

Is this the 1st time you are trying to use this USB debug probe?

Where and when did you purchase this USB debug probe?

What is the version of CCS you are using? Did you install emulator support when you install it? If you haven't, run CCS installation again and just select all emulator types. Please take a look at this link:

    http://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/esd/documents/ccsv7_debugging_jtag_connectivity_issues.html

What is the OS and version of computer you are using? If possible, can you try another computer?

    best regards,

    David Zhou

  • Hi David,

You tried to use your TMDSEMU560V2STM-U for the first time.
However, the computer does not recognize the TMDSEMU560V2STM-U.
    I have one more TMDSEMU560V2-U.
The other works fine on the same computer.
In addition, newly purchased TMDSEMU560V2-U will not be recognized.
This USB was purchased from the TI Store on January 9, 2020.
    The Order Number is  T00627044.
I am using CCS7 and my OS is Windows 8.1.
I tested it on another machine, and I have the same problem.
So is to ask for a replacement of the product.
    Thank you.

  • Benson,

Thank you for sending such detailed post. According to your description the probe seems indeed defective prematurely and should be returned under warranty.

I would ask you to contact the customer support center and refer to this thread for details.
