AM5728: NFC support in Android PSDK 6.01 on AM5728 EVM?

Hello,

I was planning on integrating camera in Android PSDK 6.01 on AM5728 EVM.

I have read on multiple ti community posts that camera is still not supported in Android on AM5728 EVM. But it is clearly not impossible, provided changes should be done around HAL/HIDL.

So instead of doing changes w.r.t camera (which has more complex code in AOSP repository), I was planning on starting with a simpler device (thermal or nfc).

Is nfc supported on EVM in PSDK 6.01?

We don't have NFC support in TI Android SDK.

Thanks for your reply.

I was going through camera HAL code and I found it so vast.

I was wondering if you can tell me about some other device (WiFi, Bluetooth etc.) which already is in working state on Android PSDK 6.02. Never-mind, but this would really guide me on understanding about HAL/HIDL concepts and give me a lead on writing Camera HAL.

Also, will you be giving support for Camera in Android PSDK in near future?

Hi Devashish,

There are no plans today for enabling Camera HAL in Android PSDK.
