TDA2P-ACD: RGB Signal Drive Strength

Part Number: TDA2P-ACD

Dear TI team,

I would like to ask you. I have been working in former projects with the TDA3, and as far as I remember, was possible to change the drive Strength of the parallel video output. And I would like you If It is possible to change the Drive Strength of the video output in the TDA2PEHV. I am talking about the parallel video output (RGB888).

In case would be possible, please could you give me some information about how to do it.

Thanks and best regards

  • Carlos,

The TRM chapter for Control Module includes a description of a set of registers under the "Pad Configuration Register Bits" umbrella. Specifically, there is a Slew Rate setting that can be applied for the respective IOs.

    Regards,

    Kyle

  • Dear Kyle,

Thanks, we tried this but you cannot see any diference in the Pixel Clock, this pixel clock is working ar 122MHz.

We saw in the datasheet, this table:

But here is a note: SSC is not supported. This means that is not possible to enable this feature?

Also other question, please, could you provide to us, which is the value of the characteristic impedance of this video output driver?

    Thanks and best regards!

  • Carlos,

To determine the electrical behavior of the LVCMOS IOs in your system we recommend that you run simulations using the IBIS model for the device.

SSC can be used exclusively for the parallel video output bus.  SSC is not supported on other interfaces.

    Regards,

    Kyle

  • Thanks Kyle,

I am talking about the parallel output, so we will try to enable it and check the effect,

I agree that we should perform simulation of these traces.

    Thanks and regards!
