TMDSEVM6657: Can McBSP of TMS320C6657 be used with SPI devices?

Is it possible to use McBSP to interface SPI compliant ADC and DACs?

Usually it should be possible, but as per page 51 of Multichannel Buffered Serial Port for Keystone Devices User Guide (http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/spruhh0/spruhh0.pdf)
