Hello Guys,

Good day!

Our customer is 

Customer looking to incorporate the following devices for their Heads Up Display Application:
DLP3030-Q1 Electronics Evaluation Module; Motor Driver DRV8889-Q1; Application processor (DRA71x processor)

Is there any recommended automotive camera modules that are suitable for their application?

    Hello,

    In addition to the previous inquiry, our customer are thinking to integrate Raspberry Pi Camera Module v2 over I2C bus of the DRA71xEVM. This camera captures the video of the driver and send it to the Application processor DRA71xEVM.

    Questions:

    1. Is that possible to integrate that camera module.I mean does the SDK of the DRA71xx support that kind of camera module?

    2. What specifications do he need to consider from software perspective for Camera Module to interface with the Application Process other than the technical specifications like pixels, etc?

    Hi,

    There is no automotive camera that is recommended by TI

    There is a OV10633 camera module (8bit YUV 422 720p camera module) supported by default SDK

    Any new camera needs a driver that customer needs to write, or get from the camera vendor.
