Hi Ahmed,
I am sorry, i did not get your question. number of instances of which module?
Rgds,
Brijesh
I need to ask about the number of instances of TMS320DM8148 and what is the general rule to calculate the number of instances.
As I saw this attribute "Number of Instances" found in some datasheet of microcontroller like the below:
https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/dra75p.pdf?ts=1591360190213
So I need to know what is meant by "number of instances" and how can we calculate this attribute in case it is mentioned at datasheets.
Best Regards
Ahmed Sabry
Ahmed,
The number of instances in the shared datasheet refers to the mailbox instances. This is used in interprocessor communications..
Depending on SoC, there could be multiple instances of modules, please refer to the specs, datasheet to know number of instances supported by SoC.

Thanks, Brijesh for your reply, but I still need more clarification about the meaning of "Number of Instances" nad need its definition
- Also, need to know how to deduce number of instances in case it isn't mentioned on the datasheet?
_Also need to know is this attribute "Number of Instances" is specific for SOCs or it may be used with graphic devices?
I appreciate your cooperation.
Thanks

Hi Ahmed,
I did not get your question? Why do you want to reduce the number of instances?
In the datasheet/specs, the number of instances is SoC specfic.
