Resume an old project with TMDS320DM640: IDE and development tools

Dear All,

I have to resume and old project with TMDS320DM640. We have existing boards and I need to make some change on the firmware.
We have the XDS510 USB Plus emulator.

I installed CCS10 but it does not support this DSP.

What is the most recent development tools I can use, possibly on windows 10?

Hello Mario,

The last version of CCS to support the XDS510 Plus emulator is CCSv8.3.1. That version should support your emulator and device combination.

Hello Ki,
I tried both the CCS 8.3.1 than CCS 7.4.0, I can import a legacy CCs3.3 project but it seems there isn't any support for the DSP Bios and also TMS320DM640 does not appear in the supported device.
Is it correct?

At this point maybe I could compile with a CCS7 but for instance I could not change easily the BIOS parameteres so I don't know if it's worth.

CCS no longer ships with DSP/BIOS. You need to download/install it separately. You can find the link to it from the App Center.
