Hi Team,

In AM437x Sitara Processors datasheet (SPRS851E –JUNE 2014–REVISED JANUARY 2019), the signal “mmc0_sdcd” can be routed to pins A17, N24, or R25.

However, in SysConfig tool (version 1.6.0_1543 ), when I define “mmc0_sdcd”, it is routed to pin N24. In my design I would like to route “mmc0_sdcd” to pin R25.

How can I define “mmc0_sdcd” as pin R25 in SysConfig?

  • Hello,

The SysConfig Tool will try to solve for the optimum solution with all included peripheral signal pins. This means that you may have another peripheral signal also trying to use R25.

However, you can override the autosolve functionality and force the tool to lock a signal to a specific pin. I show how to do this in the screenshots attached below, the key thing here is that I manually set the mmc0_sdcd signal pin to spi0_cs1/R25 and made sure that the symbol appears as Locked (as opposed to Unlock which gives the tool permission to change the ball assigned to that signal).

Let me know if this works and if you have any further questions!
