Hello,

first of all I just finished studying and started about 1 month ago as an hardware engineer. My task is to use the RTOS SDK to setup a serial communication between a TDA4VM and some other components on our ECU, for example a PMIC. For that i have to use the I2C and SPI bus. But i never worked with a CPU like this and have some problems. Is there anywhere a detailed dokumentation about the SDK? Or does anyone have some examples for me?

Hi Karthik,

thanks but the getting started page does not really help. i have already established the connection between ECU and PC and can read the values in the register window. That works fine. What i need are detailed instructions how to use the driver apis. For example to trigger a simple GPIO pin. I never used CCS and a complex CPU like the TDA4 and thats just like a labyrinth for me. Thats the reason why i am here. i have looked through all the documents of TI but found nothing specific. With such a complicated controller a DoxyGen documentation can't be everything?

Hi Daniel,

Ok, lets start with the GPIO example in that case.

Here is the reference documentation that can help you get going with familiarizing the GPIO.

Note that on the TDA4 we can work with CCS or even build and flash binaries to the SD card/OSPI to get this running.
