Tool/software: Code Composer Studio
Hi Tony
Please clarify what is the use-case you are trying to enable with this?
These registers are primarily for TI's internal testing and tracking. While a combination of these registers may give you a unique value per chip , it is not the intended purpose to be used as a unique id.

Hi Tony
Ok, i have not seen this as the prior use-case or an intended use-case. I have seen previous questions from you on the MAC topic, where we did clarify that it is software programmable.
You should be free to use what makes most sense for your end application. the die ids are not intended to serve as unique id, but can potentially be leveraged for it. We will not share any additional details on these registers beyond what you see in our documentation. These are for TI internal test purposes.
Hope that helps and clarifies.

Hi Tony
>>Does each chip of TMS320C6746 ship form factory have unique cord
No.
>>If so,it is impossible to generate a unique MAC address depending on the inherent code on the chip.
die-id register combination is likely your best bet.
