do we have a reference design for Profibus MBP interface? Does MBP need a special transceiver?

Hello,

PRU-ICSS based Profibus protocol implementation does not support MBP interface.

Hello Nijin,
I looked into the Profibus wiki:

I thought the MBP support is only on the physical layer, so behind/outside of PRU-ICSS.

Hello Holger,

We have verified Profibus protocol using UART interface. If there is an option to have MBP to UART transceiver, our implementation can be used. See more details at https://www.felser.ch/profibus-manual/protokoll-definitionen.html
