Can we use the tlv320aic3x codec linux driver with a TLV320AIC3254 on an OMAP-L138?

Hi,

We are developing a custom board which interfaces the OMAP-L138 with the TLV320AIC3204. Now I notice that the PSP release for the OMAP-L138 LogicPD EVM uses the tlv320aic3x codec driver to drive the onboard tlv320aic3106 codec.

Would it be possible then to use the same codec driver for the aic3254?

If so, is the signal connection used by the onboard aic3106 be replicated for the aic3254? I am asking this question because while our custom board is not yet completed we wanted to hook up the aic3254 onto the L138 EVM bu lifting the following resistors R25 - R29 on the baseboard and connecting them to the aic3254 MCLK, BCLK, WCLK, DIN, DOUT,  respectively.
