66AK2G12: How do I test profinet at PRU-ICSS ?

Part Number: 66AK2G12

I want to test Profinet using 66AK2G12.

I have 66AK2G12 EVM and pdk_k2g_1_0_14.

Is there an example code or is there a way to test it?

  • Is there no one who can answer my question?

Or is there a problem with my question?

  • Hello DaeGyu

    Regret the delay in response.

K2G no longer supports any ICSS based industrial protocols. If Profinet is important for your product/end application, I would recommend evaluating one of the Sitara family of devices

Please refer to the PRU Industrial SW page for the list of supported devices

    Regards

    Mukul

  • Hello Mukul

this is a capture of the picture in the 66AK2G TRM.

According to the picture, "profinet" is written as supported, is it wrong information?

or does this feature have previously been supported but no longer?

If it was supported before, I'd like to do a simple test,

isn't the test code included in the pdk?

  • Hi DaeGyu

Yes the original intent was to support profinet software on this device family too as it does have ICSS. However there was no significant interest and usually customer found the Sitara AM family devices adequate for their performance /application needs. Therefore last year we stopped support the industrial protocols and are no longer offering K2G ICE EVM that was centered around these applications. We do need to clean up the TRM and other areas where we may have made the recommendation on K2G / industrial protocols (regret the confusion that these are creating for you)

Our industrial protocol offering is strong on the AM family of devices, so definitely highly encourage to evaluate that.

Having said that, the older software releases can likely be found here

This would be as-is , so please be aware of limited or no support around this for this family of devices.

  • Hi  Mukul

I understood, and I will check the data you attached.

    Thank you for your reply.
