TMS320C5517: No correct examples for CSL_AudioClass.h

Hi, everyone!

I have an additional question: Can I use both USB classes (CDC and ADC) on the c5517? How can I do this?

Yes, I think it should be possible. The existing USB Audio Class has a HID interface, for example.

I would start by understanding & verifying the CSL USB CDC example. Next figure out how to enumerate as a composite device with USB AC and CDC. Finally integrate the USB CDC example with the USB AC example.

TI won't be able to actively support this development effort, so this would be entirely up to you..

I saw that, but I don't understand - why is there no valid example for the working library? How can I check the library? There is a possibility that it does not work as expected.

If I am using 3 EP for ADC, and 3 EP for CDC, how can I implement permanent support for this devices if c5517 has only 4 EP?

For example, in csl_audioClass.c we have the following code:

CSL_Status AC_Open(pAcAppClassHandle    pAppClassHandle)
{
    ...
    CSL_UsbConfig     usbConfig;
    ...
        
        status = USB_config (pHandle->usbDevHandle, &usbConfig);

USB_config () takes random initialization values from the usbConfig structure.

In csl_cdc.c we have the following code:

CSL_Status CDC_Open(pCdcAppClassHandle    pAppClassHandle,
                    CSL_UsbConfig         *usbConfig)
{
    CSL_Status       status;
    pCdcClassHandle  pHandle;
    ...

	status = USB_config (pHandle->usbDevHandle, usbConfig);

I'm unaware of any publicly available example which uses the CSL 3.0 USB ADC code. I'm following up internally to confirm my understanding. If this is the case, I suggest downloading CAF 2.0 and updating it to use CSL 3.0.

Indeed, this looks like a bug.

C5517 has 4 Rx endpoints and 4x Tx endpoints. ADC should only require 2 Rx endpoints, and 1x Tx endpoint.
