AM5716: DDR internal loopback spec.

Part Number: AM5716

Hi Experts,

It seems that the internal loopback spec. was deleted for AM5716 datasheet rev. i.
Does it mean it does not accept the internal loopback configuration with AM5716?

Best regards,
Hitoshi

  • Hi,

Unfortunately, I am not sure what you are referring to based on the revision history of sprs957 (Changes from April 6, 2019 to November 15, 2019 (from H Revision (April 2019) to I Revision)).

I am also not aware of a DDR internal loopback spec (as in the DDR (SDRAM) connected to the EMIF IP of the SOC). Is this question in relation to the EMIF or different interface (as in DDR mode of MMC)?

Can you please give more specifics as to what was removed from the datasheet? Please include the previous datasheet revision number as well as the page / table OR figure OR text which was removed.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

  • Hi Kevin,

    sprs957h shows the table.

    Sprs957i shows the table.

The internal loopback condition was removed.
Does it mean it does not accept the internal loopback configuration with AM5716?

Thank you for your kind check.
    Best regards,
    Hitoshi

  • Hitoshi-san,

MMC2_VIRTUAL2 and MMC2_MANUAL2 are still supported as shown in Table 7-2. Modes Summary.  The reason these modes were removed from Table 7-109 was because the hold timing is closed as 1.6 ns for all of the modes shown, so there is no need for distinction between them.

  • Hi Shiou Mei,

    Thank you for checking.
Will share it with the customer.
