OMAP3515: Displaying to 1920x1080p OLED Display with MIPI I/F and generell mpu architecture questions

Part Number: OMAP3515
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRA77P, DRA75P

Dear Ti,

in our project we want to run a RTOS on a low power mpu (battery powered) and want to display to a 1920x1080p RGB OLED Display which has a MIPI I/F. Graphics displayed are simple 2-D graphics for navigation purpose, sensor data and a GUI. For the sensor connection SPI and I2C interfaces are needed. Some kind of Camera input is also relevant (although the navigation maps should be saved on the device).

The Datasheet for OMAP3515 spezifies SDTV support which is not full HD 1920x1080p. But it also says high resolution still images are supported.

Questions:

1. Is it possible with OMAP3515 to display with lower framerate/colorvariation to the full HD Display? How is this done? What interface/adapter bridge would be needed for it to be working with the MIPI display interface.

2. I cant seem to find the RTOS SDK for this product. Where can I find it and can u tell me if drivers for the video display controller are availible so C libaries for graphic applications can be used?

3. What is expected for the powerconsumption of the OMAP3515. (e.g. while outputting 2-D graphics)

4. Can you suggest different MPUs for the projects usecase? Are MPUs like DRA75P, DRA77P, TDA2Px ACD, AM57x or AM437x better suited for our application?

Best regards

Tim
