TMDSDSK6713: Can we use dsp kit 6713 with later versions of CCS?

Part Number: TMDSDSK6713

When TI releases DSP KIT 6713, at that time version of CCS was 3,but now there are later versions available also.

The issue with ver 3 of CCS is that can only run on windows xp.

So my question is that can we use dsp kit 6713(without any issue) with later versions of CCS,that are compatible with windows 7,8 and 10?

With CCS v10.3 under Windows 10 64-bit was able to debug a simple "hello world" example on a TMDSDSK6713. Notes:

Need to install C6000 CGTv7.x to support the the TMS320C6713 - see
Compiler/TMS320C6713B: Compiler/TMS320C6713: Device not supported on Code Composer Studio v7.4 (CCSv7.4) TMS320C6713
CCS v9 and v10 are 64-bit under Windows and no longer support the on-board XDS510 class debug probe on the TMDSDSK6713. See Latest release information
With 64-bit CCS the only supported debug probes for tthe TMS320C6713 are XDS560 class debug probes. With CCS 10 used a Blackhawk USB560-M.
CCS 10 comes with the <ccs_install_root>\ccs\ccs_base\emulation\boards\dsk6713\gel\dsk6713.gel GEL file, and "DSK6713" can be selected as a board in the Target Configuration file which performs initialisation for the DSK.

Having installed CCS 8.3.1.00004 under Windows 10 64-bit was able to debug the TMDSDSK6713 using either:

The on-board "Spectrum Digital DSK-EVM-eZdsp onboard USB emulator"
An external Blackhawk USB560-M

Thanks alot for your kind response but it appears to be specifically about windows 10,actually currently we have acess to windows7,so can you please also include in your answer information relevant to windows7,if comfortable please

I believe your board should work with CCS 8.3.1.00004 on Windows 7 using any of the two JTAG emulators tested by Chester.

Unfortunately, I don't have access to Windows 7 to be able to test.
