It feels like the cable connected to the CPU is out of EVM.

    You are correct that there is a possibility the Debug Probe cable is broken, but more tests are required. Check if the cable is firmly secured to the main probe and, if you have an extra unit, you can try to swap the cables between the two units. Also, make sure the target board is properly powered up and running, given that sometimes the point of break can be confused by the surrounding conditions. If you have a spare target board, even better - this will be an extra helper to isolate the issue.

    If nothing actually works, then you may need to return your Debug Probe for repair or for a simple return.
