Hi,

I have one simple question.

When AM335x is shpped to customers, does it have an unique MAC address? Otherwise should our customers enter each MAC address to AM335x?

As fas as I know, each TI DSP or Sitara has the sole MAC address and customers doesn't need to burn any MAC.

Thanks and BR,

Devin

  • Yes, this is correct. MAC addresses are unique.

  • MAC addresses are unique and burned in the  EFUSE registers mac_id0_lo and mac_id0_hi in the control module.

In the latest AM335x TRM (SPRUH73H.pdf), kindly look at section 9.3.5.

Device uses EFUSE registers mac_id0_lo and mac_id0_hi in the control module for Ethernet MAC address of the device.
