Hi,

I'm new to Sitara and to the industrial SDK.

I've purchased 3 units of the TIDEP0028 for the purpose of demonstrating and evaluating powerlink. After searching for a long time, I cannot find any trace of libraries and/or example apps. All I found in the docs is an email address of a person from Port who is supposed to support this, but they're not answering.

I want to understand the exact status of powerlink support on the ICE EVM and where I should find the relevant resources to get it going. The existence of TIDEP0028 ("Ethernet Powerlink Development Platform Reference Design") makes one expect to be able to able to run powerlink on the board, but it is not very clear to me how exactly.

there is no support for POWERLINK in current IA-SDK releases. There is a demo binary on Port's web site but that is for the older ICEv1 board only. Customers need to contact Port for an updated binary that runs on ICEv2. That was also used for the reference design mentioned.
Alternatively we are working on other partner solutions but the BU needs to comment on the status.

In other words, did I just by a $600-worth of paper-weights? The product page makes it seem like I can get the board and run POWERLINK on it, which does not seem to be the case anymore. At least not without having to pay Port extra, which sort of defeats the purpose of POWERLINK being a free solution.

I'm hoping to be able to run openPOWERLINK on these boards. Does TI provide a PRU-based implementation of the openMAC API?

Do you have some updates on Powerlink for Sitara?
We have a project that would require Powerlink on AM437x. What are the options?
