The question relates to the DC reference design TIDEP0059 (CENELEC Band data concentrator). The reference schematic shows the use of a TMS320F28375 processor and AFE032 for the PLC SOM. We have been using the TMS320F28PLC84 processor and AFE301 on our nodes. Could we not use the same processor - with the appropriate firmware (sysbios_g3_plc_dc_F2806x_AFE031_CRC16_MSB_ROM_image.hex from the G3_DC_SDK_Package_v4706) for the three phase data concentrator instead?
We are planning to use the AM3358 processor for the application processor on the DC - instead of AM3359. Would this be acceptable as far as running the binaries supplied (lower mac on the PLC processor and upper mac on the AM3358) go?
